Return to Cranford~A review~

In this review about Return to Cranford, all the characters of Cranford will be skipped, because I already put them on my post of Cranford. So only the new characters and maybe some characters that were a little bit new, will be seen here.

William Buxton.
William Buxton is kind, and brave enough to stand up to his father. But still, I don't particularly like William Buxton.

Peggy Bell.
I like Peggy very much. She is kind, would do anything to make her family happy, loves her mother and brother, and is very concerned for them. She is so nice, and endures the pressure of Sir Buxton, together with William.

Erminia Whyte.
The first time we watched Return to Cranford, I was very surprised that Lady Mary Crawley Michelle Dockery played in it. She plays a kind, stubborn and nice Erminia. Erminia has quite her own will. She tries to help Peggy and helps Miss Pole to order a le cage from Paris. Miss Pole thinks she orders a cage, but Erminia thought of a crinoline. That scene was so very funny. Miss Pole standing there, proud next to le cage.

Sir Buxton was a little bit mean to Peggy sometimes, but was really kind actually. Lady Glenmire was kind, didn't care so much for position and married Captain Brown.
The End.

Pride and Prejudice 2005~A review~

I did my Pride and Prejudice review over again, because I thought the other one was not exactly my opinion. So here it goes.

The Music. It's gorgeous. So good. Dario Marianelli did the music, and he did a wonderful job.

The Set.  The set is also veeeeery pretty.

Elizabeth ''Lizzy'' Bennet.
Keira Knightley does a perfect portrayal of Lizzie. Caring and kind, but also challenging, sometimes cross, and defensive. And she has lovely dresses. The green one for example. Not my top favourite maybe, but one of the best. Although, as Naomi said once, in her ''On why I don't like Pride and Prejudice 2005'' she has, how do you call it, those little things underneath her wig? I don't know. And she wears lose hair. But that is to explain. She didn't have time to put it right, because she wanted to see her sister and you could see by that that she cares less about her look than the other sisters. And that she wears pyama's is perfectly to explain too. That day in the field, where she met Mr Darcy again, was just coincidence. She wanted to get fresh air, probably. But what am I doing? This is not to be a contradicting post, isn't it?

Jane Bennet.
Rosamund Pike plays Jane perfectly. She is sweet, innocent shy, pretty...
Jane wears very pretty dresses too. Sheis very close to Lizzie.
This is maybe the shortest part ever wrote about anyone. My apologies :)

Mary Bennet.
I like Mary Bennet. Of course, she doesn't wear colourfol clothes, but that makes her different than her sisters. She loves to play the piano and is very shy. I feel sorry for her. She almost never talks.

Lydia and Kitty Bennet.
They are very similar, but at the same time they are very different. They are very close, like Lizzie and Jane. They giggle often, and have both same interests. Lydia is a little boastful blabbermouth. She can't shut her mouth, while Kitty doesn't say much at all. They wear pretty similar dresses too. Like on the picture on the left. The only difference is that Lydia has a blue one and Kitty a green one.

Mrs Bennet.
Mrs Bennet is funny, and she wants her daughters to marry. However, she doesn't like to see her daughters leave, which is perfectly understandable. I think Brenda Blethyn does a great job acting Mrs Bennet.

              Mr Bennet.
He is very funny, loves his daughters and his wife, does what is right for Lizzie, comforst Mary when he offended her by accident. All with all, he is a good husband and father. And I love the little banters between him and Mrs Bennet.
''Oh, Mr Bennet, how can you tease me so? Have you no compassion for my poor nerves?''
''You mistake me, my dear. I have the highest respect for them. They've been my constant companions these twenty years.''

Mr Collins.
Mr Collins is a little bit awkward, and serious. That doesn't mean I don't like him. He is quite funny sometimes. And he cares a lot about the opinion of Lady Catherine DeBourgh, and likes to tell everyone that he is under protection of Lady Catherine. He has some very funny lines.
''What a superbly featured room and what excellent boiled potatoes. Many years since I had such an exemplary vegetable. To which of my fair cousins should I compliment the excellence of the cooking?'' or ''And though I do sometimes amuse myself with arranging such little elegahttps://www.blogger.com/blogger.g?blogID=3272224146255270569#editor/target=post;postID=3570286637086292610;onPublishedMenu=overview;onClosedMenu=overview;postNum=0;src=postnament compliments, I always wish to give them as unstudied an air as possible.''

Charlotte Lucas(Mrs Collins).
She is Lizzie's best friend and very kind. She said: ''Not all of us can afford to be romantic....I'm twenty-seven years old. I am not romantic you know. I never was.'' and after she said:''Don't you dare judge me, Lizzie! Don't you dare judge me!''she didn't want to here Lizzie complaining against her decision.
She also said: ''Yes of course, what other kind of engaging is there?'' I think she was sick of Lizzie pretending(well, I think it was pretending) like she didn't know anything about it.

Mr Darcy.
Mr Darcy is kind, proud, and loves his sister very much. As she said:''My brother spoils me.''  I don't have much to say about him, as usally happens when there are characters you just don't have much to say about. So this one will be short too. I have to quit anyway.

There are other characters: Lady Catherine, Georgiana Darcy, Mr and Mrs Gardiner, the maid(what was her name? Bettie? Bessie? I can't remember anymore), oh yes, Mr Wickham was there too. I have only to say about him that he is mean, and wicked(which his name says already''Wick''ham).

Elizabeth marries to Mr Darcy, although we have never seen that part in the movie. Only that ''Mrs Darcy. Mrs Darcy'', which was terrible, and only put in because British people didn't thought it romantic enough.

Cranford~A review~

My family and I watched this mini-serie to its end yesterday. I think it was the second time we watched it. Anyway, it was great to watch, again. The music is not my favourite, but nice. The characters...well, let's take a look at the characters now.

Miss Matilda ''Matty''.
Miss Matty(I always call her that, even if her sister didn't like that)is very dependent on her sister, and after she died, I mean Miss Deborah, not Miss Matty, things ran a little out of hand. Miss Matty's money is lost, she has a little dept with the bucher, and she can't pay her maid, Martha, anymore. Despite of that, she maintains friendly and even gives five pound to Jem Hearne, so he can buy Martha a shawl. She doesn't want to see her family distressed and unhappy and sad.

Mary Smith.
She is very nice, farsighted and a real matchmaker. As you can see by her actions. She sends a letter to Major Gordon, that Jessie Brown is sorry that she rejected him, and Major Gordon comes back to Jessie, she sends a letter to Dr. Marshland that he must solve Dr. Harrison's problems and admit that he send the Valentine's-card to Caroline Tomkinson, and she tried to get Miss Matty and Mr Holbrook so far that they maybe would marry. That's really a little matchmaker, right?

Miss Deborah.
She likes to stick on to the old habits, doesn't like it when people say ''suck'' or suck their oranges. She is very strict, but sad.

Miss Pole.
Miss Pole is a funny gossip and believes she is a matchmaker. Miss Pole doesn't like that everyone says that she is still ''Miss'' Pole and not ''Mrs'' Pole. She is very interested in cloth, lace, gossips, and that sort of things. And she is easily offended. But she is a very good friend.

Mrs Forrester.
Mrs Forrester is kind-hearted, very emotional and cares a lot about her cow, Bessie. She treats Bessie as if she was her own daughter, as she said so herself once or twice. I think she is very funny sometimes and a good friend.

Miss Galindo.

She is a milliner and respects Lady Ludlow a lot. She likes Mr Carter and Harry Gregson. She believes that later women will get rights too. I have not much to say about her.

Lady Ludlow.
Lady Ludlow likes Mr Carter and Miss Galindo. First I thought she was just hard and cold, but she is actually nice. I think that she is nice, in any case. And she cares a lot about her son, Septimus. Awful name, don't you think?

Jessie Brown.
Jessie is a quiet, kind, and caring young woman. She cares a lot about her father and her sister(sisters,I think. She probably had more sisters than one), and about Major Gordon of course. I like her very much. Tomber, Professor Z, Grem, Mel Dorado,  Oom en Mama Topolino

 Sophy Hutton.
Sophy is sweet, and loves her father, sisters and her little brother Walter. And Dr. Harrison by the way. I like her, but I don't have much to talk about when it comes to her...sorry.

Caroline Tomkinson.
I couldn't find a picture of her, so this one will be blank. I do not like Caroline Tomkinson at ALL! Pretending she has a disease and faintings and being jealous on Sophy, and whining, and all the fuss with Dr Harrison. I don't like her. I'm glad she was engaged to marry with that bucher.

Dr Frank Harrison.
Dr Harrison is kind, but a little bit dumb sometimes. I like it that Simon Woods playes Dr Harrison. Dr Harrison cares a lot about the opinion of others.

Mr Carter.
Mr Carter is kind, sees ambition in Harry Gregson, and believes every child has to have learned how to read and write. Therefore he teaches Harry how to read and write. I like Mr Carter and it was sad he died.

Harry Gregson.
I don't have a veeery high opinion of Harry. Of course, he wants to be honest, is keen to learn, loves his family, and likes Mr Carter very much, but I don't like him that much. I just don't like him so much.

There are other characters, like Captain Brown

and Augusta Tomkinson, but I will stop now.

No, wait, I will keep on for a little, little while.
Sophy Hutton and Frank Harrison get married.

A little something that I have discovered.
Jim Carter(Mr Carson or Mr Brown) and Imelda Staunton(Miss Pole or Mrs Palmer) are married in real life! Isn't that funny!?

Disney or Dreamworks (animated) movies you should see

Disney and Dreamworks movies you should see. These are (animated) movies from Disney and/or Dreamworks that are very nice and have a good story behind them. I have seen all on this post.

1. Inside Out.

This one is great. I've watched it three times with my family.

2. Mulan.

There is a part two, who is also nice, but one is better.

3. Cars.

There is a part two, but I don't like that one so much.

4. Planes 2(Fire&Rescue).

There is a part one: Planes, but I like Planes 2 better and Planes isn't my favourite.

5. Tangled.
Maybe in the start and at the end there is some magic, but I don't care so much for that little magic.

6. Finding Nemo.
There is a part two: Finding Dory, but I haven't seen that one yet, so I can't judge it to soon. But I think it will be a nice movie too.

7. Flushed Away.
It's not a clay-movie, if you should think so. It's actually very funny and it has a good story behind it.

8. Over the Hedge.
This one is really nice too.

9. Animals United.
This one is very funny and nice. It even has Andy Serkis in it as the voice of the rooster Charles.

10. 101 Dalmations.
This one is really nice. We never get sick of it. There is a part two, but I don't like that one very much.

11. Up.
This is a great story.

12. Madagascar 3.
There is a part one and a part two, but part two has a view not nice parts and one is also nice, but I like 3 best.

Maybe you think they're all boring, but they all have a great story behind them and are very funny and nice.

Another tag!
I've been tagged by Ivy Miranda. Thank you, Ivy!

The rules are simple:
Pick one couple from each category.
Tagging is optional.
Link back to Ivy's site.

The categories are:
1.)Period Drama Couple.
2.)Sci-Fi/Fantasy Couple.
3.)Superhero Couple.
4.)Preferred Couple (from a love triangle).
5.)Couple Ended To Soon.

1.)Amy Dorrit and Arhur Clennam.
Because Amy is so sweet and kind, and Arthur is very nice too, and because they just fit eachother perfectly. It was hard to choose one couple, though. I have loads of favourites, but these two are and probably always will be my favourite. Amy always loved Arthur, almost from the very start, but Arthur never noticed, until John Chivery said it. Then he realized his mistakes. Like he said:
'What a fool I have been all this time! Never realising that it was you. It was always you.''
I just love these two together.

2.) Ella and Kit.
Um...does this count? I seriously didn't watch any Sci-Fi movies, and this is a fantasy couple, right? I hope it counts.
Kit marries a servant girl, which is really odd in those times, while he was becoming a king. Ella is very kind, and prince Kit too. So they do fit. What I like most is that Kit accepts Ella as she is,a poor girl with no money and no big inheritance or something like that. He was enchanted by the looks of her, back in the forest. Ella thought he was just an apprentice in the castle, but he was actually a prince.

3.) Superhero Couple.
O...ehm...I don't watch superhero movies, so I am sorry to skip this one. My apologies.

4.) Marian and Robin Hood.
Absolutely Marian and Robin! They are my favourite couple ever! Marian doesn't show much first, but she does love Robin. And Robin always sneaks in her room, to tell something or ask her something or warn her for something. Marian is very brave and kind, and very stubborn concerning her father and the Nightwatchman.

5.) Marian of Knightley and Robin of Locksley.
This was so sad! Marian died far too early and as she said, (''Because we didn't have enough time on earth. Not early enough time.'') they didn't have much time together. Of course, they married, but short after Marian died. But what I like very much, was when Robin also died. Not that I liked it that he died, but he looked so happy lying there when he saw Marian. He smiled so happy, not the usual bragging smile, but a really happy smile. And Marian looked so happy too. The end was perfect, but very sad.

Thank you for this tag, Ivy. I liked it very much.
