Hello...it's me.
I have not been posting regularly. Reason number 1 is that I have no ideas(yet) and reason number 2 was because I had a cold and I didn't feel like posting because my posts would turn into grumpy ramblings. Seriously.
Now that my cold...is still here, but less, now that there is a Tolkien Tag, I have a reason for posting, so...here we go.
Hamlette over at The Edge of the Precipice made this tag and I'm filling it out(just so you know it's not a robot behind the computer)
(That was an attempt at sarcasm. I'm not really good at that;) surprise, surprise)
Anyhow, to the questions.
1. What's your favourite Middle-earth story/book?
I have the feeling I used this picture already...well, who bothers? I'm too lazy to look up my older posts. My favourite Middle-earth book is probably The Hobbit right now.
I have only read The Hobbit and The Fellowship of the Ring. Just two, and The Hobbit is my favourite out of those two.
2. Do you have a favourite subplot?
Nope. Not one yet. I shouldn't be answering these questions, I haven't even read enough.
(As if. It's Tolkien.)
3. What's your favourite theme in Tolkien's books? (Can be in one specific story, or overall.)
The elvish-themes. I love the merryness and the joy, the beauty and the songs. I just love the elves.
4. Do you have a favourite weapon from Middle-earth?
The bows of the elves.
5. Would you like to be a hobbit?
My first instinct is to say yes. The hobbit holes to live in, the magical world.
I kinda like to be myself too, in this world, for there are more worlds to explore, even though you aren't in it then yourself.
But if I could be a hobbit, I guess I'd choose to be one, if I could go back to me when I could.
6. Do you have a favourite romance/couple?
Right now, with only the first two books: Aragorn and Arwen. Even when there is not much mention of them yet, I believe that the following books will have them in more.
7. What's your favourite Middle-earth creature?
I think I have answered that question already. Elves, undoubtedly. Although I do love hobbits so much! And well, wizards too.
8. What character do you look most like?
Those eyes...just Gollum.
Well, that is my answer. When I read the book, I thought by myself: ''wow, do I resemble Gollum. I look so much like him!''
So I guess I look most like Gollum.
Joking. Again.
I think Frodo, because he likes his peace and quiet(like Bilbo, actually), but at the same time he likes to travel and see more of the world(which I really want to too).
So, closest to me is I think Frodo, yes. Maybe Bilbo, because Frodo and he are very similar.
9. Are there any books about Middle-earth or Professor Tolkien (but not written by him) you recommend?
No, of course not :D
Well, as I said before, I have only read The Hobbit and the Fellowship of the Ring, so I have no other recommendations. I haven't read any books about Middle-earth and/or J.R.R. Tolkien that are not written by him, so again no.
10. List up ten of your favourite lines/quotations from the Middle-earth books and/or movies.
Sam |
I love this one especially. Just the sound of it, and the words and that it describes Aragorn and...just everything! It is from Gandalf, for the record. |
''May the wind under your wings bear you where the sun sails and the moon walks.''-Gandalf
From the Hobbit. |
''Even the smallest person may change the course of the future.''-Galadriel
Gandalf |
''Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.''-Gimli
''I've found it is the small deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Small acts of kindness and love.''-Gandalf.
And then, of course...
That is the end.
''I will not say the day is done, nor bid the stars farewell.''
Anyone who wants to do this tag, feel free to. It only requires having read at least one Tolkien book or watched at least one of the movies.
Neat answers! I loved that hobbit collage picture and the Gollum picture. XD xD
ReplyDeleteHey, we both like that "some that die deserve life" quote! *high fives*
Ach, the elves! Great point. I hadn't thought of that as a subplot, but it totally is! #jealousofyouranswer ;D
Hope you're doing well! <3
Thanks! Ha, yes. ''the Gollum picture''. I didn't even search for that one, it came up.
DeleteYES! *high fives back* I have seen that quote around the Tolkien Tag answers more, I guess it's a very popular one :)
Thank you! XD
Oh yes, I now only have a running nose :(
Headache and sore throat is gone, so it is better, thanks.
I'm glad the cold is better!
DeleteThe Hobbit is the best!!!!! :D
ReplyDeleteThat Gollum bit! XD
And I love all the quotes you used! I was in a rush so I had to pick the really popular ones. But these are hidden gems and should be more widely known!
Yes!!
Delete:D
I get that too, sometimes. You just don't have time to look for all the quotes or pictures, so you just take the first ones.
LotR has really a LOT of quotes, right? I mean, almost all that is written down in those books is something that at least resembles a quote. That's why J.R.R. Tolkiens writing is so great, I think.
Ugh. I LOVE all of the quotes you shared. <3
ReplyDeleteBy the way, I tagged you here: https://elanorspen.blogspot.com/2018/10/a-post-full-of-book-covers.html
No pressure, of course. :)
Thanks!
DeleteOh, I didn't know that yet, I just now came on here. I'll check immediately(I'm always in for tags).
Oh, by the way, thanks for tagging me :)
