Tag and Robin Hood blog party!

Rachel tagged me with A Call The Midwife Tag and Olivia is hosting a Robin Hood blog party. Anyone can participate with which Robin Hood version you want. So, said that, now on to the tag.

Rules: Thank the blogger who tagged you. Thank you, Rachel!
Answer the questions(no obligations)
Tagging is optional

Question 1: Who's your favourite character?

Well, Cynthia Miller(later Mary Cynthia Miller) is one of my favourite characters, but also Barbara Gilbert and someone I also like is Shelagh Turner. So, either one of those three would suit.

Question 2: When did you first hear of the show?

When it came on Netflix :)

Question 3: How do you react when you hear someone else is a fan too?

Oh, you watched it too! Great! It's such a good tv-show, don't you think?

Question 4: Do you consider yourself a Call The Midwife fan?

You could say I am a fan, but not a really really big fan.

Question 5: Who's your favourite male character in Call the Midwife?

I don't really know all the guys in Call the Midwife. I remember Alec, Jimmy and Reverend Tom. And Patrick Turner and his son. I think Patrick Turner then...

Question 6: Do you know the real name(actress name) of Jenny Lee without looking it up on internet?

No, actually not. I first thought she was Jenny in real life too, but realized it wasn't that. She is Jessica. But what was her last name? Maine? That's what I thought. It's Jessica Raine. Pretty close though :)

Question 7: Do you know who was nominated as best actress in 2012?

Probably one of the three first midwifes(Jenny,Trixie and Cynthia), but I wouldn't know which one. If I have a guess, I'd say Jessica Raine.

Question 8: Which character do you dislike most? Why?

There isn't really a character I dislike. I didn't really like Jimmy though and Patsy's friend isn't my favourite either. Don't really have a reason, just don't like those two.

Question 9: If you could play anyone you want, who would you play?

One of my favourite characters.

Question 10: Who's your favourite couple?
Shelagh and Patrick Turner.

Question 11: Would you rather be Trixie or Barbara?

Barbara.

Thanks again for the tag!

I just realized Chummy is actually my favourite character. Such a pity she left the show. You never see her in the Call The Midwife nowadays.

Tag!!!

I have a tag! I have a tag! *dancing around the room of joy*
*sits down again and starts typing* Thank you, Olivia, for tagging me! It has been a while since someone tagged me! (Keep using exclamation marks, sorry for that) Okay, let's get to the point. The tag. There where two tags on Olivia's post, and I wasn't sure if I could do both, but after a thought I decided to do both then.

First tag.

1. What book has been on your shelf for too long?

Shelf? What shelf? O, you mean a book shelf in your room? Nope, don't have one. (What a shame!) I know, I know, but I don't have an own room yet. First I was sharing it with my little sister as I mentioned once, then my father started to rebuild the attic(where my parents sleep) for a bedroom for my two sisters(separate). There was no place for my parents' big bed and the one of my youngest brother. So, my parents and my youngest brother moved to the room of my two other brothers and my older brother moved to the attic on a mattress and my younger brother moved to our room. Well, the case is my younger brother moans in his sleep, which is quite disturbing and keeps me awake. And as I am one of the long-sleepers who needs a lot of sleep, I was tired every day. Then I moved to the attic to sleep with my older brother. So, no book shelf. (:

2. What is your current read, your last read, and the book you'll read next?

The book I'm currently reading will be the book Nothing. I am nt reading anything right now. The book I read last was The Wood's Edge by Lori Benton and the book I'm going to read is gonna be...I don't know, I'm not planning to read anything.

3. What book did everyone like, but you hated?

Uhm...let's see...The Captain was its title, I think. By Laura Frantz. Something with red and captains and a cabin and a blonde woman. No, wait, Airman by Eoin Colfer. I thought it was boring, but my sister and brother liked it very much.

4. What book do you kep telling yourself to read, but you probably won't?

Won't read it ever, or just won't for now. I assume it is forever, so that book will be Pocahontas probably. Because I say to myself that I have to read it because it's about a famous history Indian princess, but I don't think I will ever come to it.

5. What book are you saving for retirement?

I have no idea, really.

6. Last page: read it first, or wait 'til the end?

Well, I like to know what happens in the end, so sometimes I skip to read the end first. But mostly I just wait until the end.

7. Acknowledgement: waste of paper and ink, or interesting aside?

Well, mostly I don't read the acknowledgements, but sometimes I do. So, depends.

8. Which book character would you switch places with?

That's a hard question. I don't think I know one with a pinch of my fingers, so it was hard thinking. I really couldn't possibly remember one I really absolutely wanted to be. Maybe that's what it is. I don't want to switch places with someone, because I am content with who I am now.

9. Do you have a book that reminds you of something specific in your life?

I guess...no. Except for one Dutch book: De stad van de leeuw(The city of the lion). I read that one when we were in vacation to Belgium. So it always reminds me of our vacation to Belgium.

10. Name a book that you acquired in an interesting way?

In an interesting way? I don't think I ever acquired a book in an interesting way. Nope, didn't.

11. Have you ever given a book away for a special reason to a special person?

No again. I feel awful saying ''no" all the time.

12. Which book has been with you most places?

I don't bring books in my purse or pocket. So, none.

13. Any ''required reading'' you hated in a high school that wasn't so bad later?

I don't go to school, so...

14. Used or brand new?

Used books. They feel so different and not so smooth and hard as new ones. Also they mostly have a smell that smells like books. What I like too.

15. Have you ever read a Dan Brown book?

No.

16. Have you ever seen a movie you liked more than the book?

Yeah :) Pride and Prejudice for instance, and Sense&Sensibility. Also The Princess Diaries.

17. Have you ever read a book that makes you hungry, cookbooks included?

So many times ;) Cookbooks especially, but also a book where they describe the taste, smell, or how the food looks like.

18. Who is the person whose book advice you'll always take?

My sisters, no doubt. They mostly have the same taste in books as I.

19. Is there a book our of your comfort zone(e.g. , outside your usual reading genre) that you ended up loving?

I read novels and a lot of other genres. Okay name one. Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan.

Second tag.

1. Do you have any family heirlooms?

Well, of course, my clothes :). Not all, but still quite a lot. And I once got a mirror and writing books and sketching books. Yep, had family heirlooms(if you can count those).

2. Opinion on Letterwriting?

It's certainly a practice for your hands. And it looks nice and is always fun to do.

3. Do you prefer coffee, tea or cocoa?

Hot cocoa!!!!

4. What's your favourtie childrens story?

The Winnie The Pooh stories. I really liked them when I was a kid.

5. What movie or Period Drama ending really frustated you? And how woud you change it?

Well, Land Girls ended unpleasing. One story was finished and the other was not. So I would've changed the other story.

6. Where do you see yourself in 10 years time?

I have no idea. Destiny will take me somewhere ;)
(I hope I'll have a job then)

7. What makes you nostalgic?

Thinking of the past.

8. If you had to describe yourself as an animal, what would you be?

I should do a test on that one. But for now I don't have one.

9. If a loved one was to serenade you, what son would you most like him to sing?

O, uhm...Probably no song. I don't think I would like it so much if someone sang for me, not even a loved one.

10. If you could change your name to anything what would your name be?

I don't know, I like my own name. But I think I would choose Emma or Leah.

11. What's your favourite biscuit to dunk?

I think just the plain weat biscuits.

I was so excited for the tags I forgot to say the rules.

The rules are: You must be honest, you must answer every question, you must tag at least 4 people.

Well, as for the last, I tag anyone and everyone! :)

~Ask Me Anything Answers~

So, here are the answers!

Rachel asked:

What's your favourite book right now?

Wonderland Creek is still the best book I have ever read. So this one is going to be my choice until I find another book who is better than this one(which hasn't happened yet).

What's your favourite serie?

Ah, yes....I knew this one was going to come. It's a really hard question, because there are so many great tv-series right now and I don't know which is the topper.Poldark is of course the most recent and we have not finished it yet, but it still cannot overcome Robin Hood BBC. So, you know my answer. :)

Who's your favourite actress?

Well, I think everyone already knows Lucy Griffiths is still my favourite actress.

Who's your favourite actor?

I actually don't have a favourite actor. :)

Books or movies?

Yeah...books are great and you can just relax on the couch while reading. And you can picture everything yourself and everything is wonderful. You can watch movies relaxed on the couch too, and it's great, even though some parts are not that wonderful(keep using the same words here). But if I had to choose, I would choose...why is this so difficult? Okay, movies then. Because you can see everything and hear things. You can even cry watching a movie.

If you could travel through time, in which time period would you love to be?

Actually...I would like to go back in time in the Bible. It might seem strange, but it would be so wonderful and miracleous to see all those things. What are balldresses and dancing compared to that?

Poldark or Downton Abbey?

Poldark. :)

Are you more like Jane Bennet or Elizabeth Bennet?

I would say more like Jane. Because...I'm not witty and sharp like Elizabeth. I'm more quiet and shy like Jane. So Jane Bennet.

If you could have a pet, what animal would it be?

I would love to have a monkey, but that's not how it ought to be. Monkeys are supposed to be free in the wild. So a little kitten. Preferably an orange-white striped kitten.

Would you rather visit England or Spain?

I have already visited Spain, so England. Definitely England!

What's your favourite movie?

Since I do not have a favorite movie, I'll just choose a movie we recently watched. It was a quite funny one and really nice.

Is there any movie or serie you would love to see one day?

I would love to see a movie with Audrey Hepburn and Roman Holiday is often said to be one of the best of Audrey Hepburn, so...

Would you rather have magic or drawing skills?

Drawing skills. I wish I could draw like this. I can't, really cannot, draw life real drawings. Only cartoon-ish and that stuff. Like from animated movies.

MovieCritic asked:

If you could be an actress in any Disney remake (already made or not), who would you be?

I would like to play in Tangled as Rapunzel. Mainly because she's my favourite Disney princess, but also because she has blonde hair.

Who is your least favourite actor?

Orlando Bloom.

Who is your least favourite actress?

 Cameron Diaz.

Rebekka asked:

What's your favourite season?

Summer is my favourite season. But spring comes close second.

 Butterflies or fireflies?

Butterflies. But fireflies are pretty too.

Favourite language?

English and Spanish are my two favourite languages. But English is my favourite.

Apple blossom or cherry blossom?

Apple blossom. It's so pretty! Far prettier than cherry blossom to my opinion.

Are you more like Anne or Diana(from Anne of Green Gables)?

More like Diana. Mainly because I'm not as outspoken as Anne.

Rain when you're falling asleep, or rain during the day?

Rain when you're falling asleep. It is rythmic and you fall asleep quicker by the sound(at least, that's what I have).

If you could be any one from Downton Abbey, who would you be?

Sybil Branson.

What is your favourite kind of tree?

Oak trees. Those big oak trees like on the picture. Those are my favourite trees. They are quite easy to climb too.

Cranford, Wives&Daughters or North&South(the one with Margaret Hale and Mr Thornton)?

North and South is the best according to my opinion. Wives and Daughters is also great and Cranford too. But North&South wins.

Do you prefer to write with a pen or a pencil?

With a sharpened pencil. It's just much easier, you don't get ugly blue-black marks on the bed or on the table if you accidently write beside the paper, and you can erase errors. And as I said, it's far easier to write with a pencil then with a pen, because you can always write thin lines (if you keep the pencil sharp) and you can't always with a pen. By the way, pens break often and when the ink is up you have to search for a new pen again. Pencils get shorter and shorter when you sharpen them, I know, but not that quick (a pen doesn't either actually). But I just prefer a pencil.

Would you like to be the eldest sibling, the youngest, or in the middle?

Well, as it is now, in the middle. Because I'm the middle child. Two older sisters and one older brother, and two younger brothers and one younger sister. The middle. So I wouldn't like to be the eldest, even if you do everything first before the others do it. And I wouldn't like to be the youngest either, because in my family I would turn out as 4 then. And when you are the youngest, your elder siblings tease you that you're small. So...

What's one of your favourite quotes?

One of my favourites is: ''Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery. But today is a gift. That's why we call it the present.'' But there are lots of quotes I like too.

aGirlWithIdeas asked:

Do you like being homeschooled?

Yes, a lot. You don't have to get up really early(and I'm a late sleeper, so that would be uncomfortable), you can do what you want, you don't have to sit in a classroom with a lot of other children and a teacher you may or may not like, and it's just a comfortable work environment to be. What could be better than have school at home at your own pace? So, yes, I like to be homeschooled.

What's your favourite book?

Wonderland Creek by Lynn Austin. It's really a great book and you should definitely read it, or at least try.

Do you do any kind of dance?

No, I don't. I like dancing and I would like to learn a dance...But I don't do any dance, no.

What's your favourite thing to do on a lazy day?

What I like to do most on a lazy day? I simply wouldn't know. Just kidding! I love to read on a lazy day. On the couch or on your bed.

What's your favourite color?

Yellow is my favourite color!

What is your favourite period drama?

Poldark!! Can't wait for the second season to come out!

What's your favourite flower?

Orchids!

Do you speak more than one language?

Yep. Well, I don't speak more than one language. I only learn Spanish and French and Latin. Oh wait, I do speak more than one language! English and Dutch! When I was little, we always watched English movies, so we were introduced to English rather soon. We also watched Little House on the Prairie when we were little. Which is quite a long and English serie.

Ruth Elizabeth asked:

Sunrise or sunset?

Sunset. Because the sky turns lightblue, pink and orange. Because day turns into night. Because you can watch the sun go down. Because the sun gives everything a orange glow.

What's your favourite type of music to listen to?

Ckassic and soundtracks. I think. I'm actually not sure what my favourite type of music is. I don't think I have a definite favourite music type, so none.

Do you play any musical instruments?

Yes, I play the piano a bit. If you can count a few note reading and mostly playing out of my head ;)
Because most of my piano playing is out of my head. The Robin Hood BBC intro, Clocks, a small tiny tiny tiny bit of Downton Abey intro, and uhm...Do A Dear, A Female Dear, Re...and so on, and some others like the song from Up and Inside Out(not entirely).

What musical instrument would you like to play one day?

I play the piano a little bit and I would like to play it more. But without counting the piano in, I would say a....guitar? Violin would be nice too, but I prefer a guitar.

Favorite subject in school?

Ah, that would be languages. I just love to learn those words in a foreign language :)

Thanks for all the questions, girls! I enjoyed it a LOT! Maybe, you never know, I'll do one again(not now of course, in a while)

Sorry, there suddenly came a big empty white space! :)

Sorry, sorry, sorry!

Aaaaand................she's late again. I'm sorry I'm late with the Ask Me Anything answers. It is like this(yes, I have an explanation for it), I started answering the questions I had and wrote them on my post Thursday. They were finished but only three persons asked questions, so I thought, let's wait for some more questions. I never go on the computer Friday and Saturday, so those were excluded. Sunday we had guests all day, Monday we went to friends, and Thursday we went to our grandparents to stay until Thursday. It is Thursday now and we can go on the computer (but we're not home yet) so this was an oppurtunity to go on Blogger and see if someone else commented. And yes, aGirlWithIdeas asked questions too. I'll have this post open for questions until next...Tuesday? Let's say until Tuesday next week. Just for information. I'm busy with the last questions(those from aGirlWithIdeas) right now. Well, see you Thursday Tuesday then. (I really keep writing Thursday instead of Tuesday)

~A new post after a while~

Since I haven't been on Blogger for a while (quite a long while, actually), I thought I'd make a post again. But what is it to be about? Well, since I love ''Ask Me Anyhting'' posts, I love to read them and ask questions, what could be a better idea than my own ''Ask Me Anything'' post. I haven't done it yet so far, so why not? And a little news, I got my ears pierced. Little gold earrings. They are small, because big earrings might be difficult. I have to turn them around once in a while and clean them, but that's the only thing I have to do. In six weeks I can have other small earrings, if I want to, and in six months I can put those dangly ones in my ears. But that will take a long time. So, I hope you have some more questions left after Rachel's ''Ask Me Anyhting'' post. See you with the answers!

Poldark~A Review~

Poldark is a great serie! And as a bonus, it's a history movie. And based on a book. We just finished season 1 this weekend. It's really good! And it has great characters. Speaking about the characters... :)

Demelza Poldark.
She's just so kind and generous and forgiving. She is really good for Ross. But is always afraid that Elizabeth will ''take him away''. I hope she doesn't anymore now. It was so sad for Demelza (and Ross) when Julia died. :'(  All by all, she's my favorite character for now.

Ross Poldark.
I don't know really what to say about him. Mostly he's kind, but sometimes he's unkind. And when he gambled all the time, I thought: ''What is he doing!?''. But it was all okay. It's just stupid that he loses a lot of things. Friends, family, the mine a bit. The Carnmore Copper Company. But I don't understand why he doesn't use the copper from Wheal Grace. But he's in jail now. So he can't.

Verity Poldark.
She's also so kind. She is a friend to Demelza and learns her to dance, and to play the piano and so much more. Her choice for Captain Blamey though, was not something I could understand.

Elizabeth Poldark.
I don't like Elizabeth. I don't really know why, but I don't like her. A couple of reasons, though. She still thinks she can win Ross back even when she's married to Francis. And what's with George Warleggan? She's finally okay with Francis, and then he shows up. I feel a bit sorry for her though. Sometimes...actually most of the time. But maybe I'll like her better later. In season 2.

Francis Poldark.
First I felt kinda sorry for him and he was okay. But then I didn't like him at all. Now he's okay again. Don't have much to say about him.

George Warleggan.
He's like an eel. So slippery you can't keep him. That's how he is. He does everything secretly and uses people who do a lot of things for money, so you cannot prove it was him. And he cares for nothing. Although he felt sorry and guilty when Julia died. I believe he was sincere when he said he was sorry to Ross. And he is in love with Elizabeth, so he really has feelings(every man has feelings, but you might not see it often, or notice anyhting at all). His father is even worse. So snake-ish.

Jud and Prudie Paynter.
They are both lazy and both love food. Jud loves the wine especially. Of course Ross' wine, not his own. There is one sentence he always says when he has to do something he doesn't want or when something happens he doesn't like: ''It ain't right, it ain't fair, it ain't fit, it ain't friendly.'' He always says that. The first time we saw him in the show, he immediately reminded us of someone we saw in a movie before, but we couldn't come on the name. I said he played in Nicholas Nickleby, someone else said another movie. In the end he played in Nicholas Nickleby and some other movie. Jud is not always that nice, Prudie neither, but more than Jud. They didn't like Demelza first, but I think they came to like her more as the show moved on.

Not many more main characters. It's really great and everyone of the family likes it(except for the three smallest)! Only the next season...we'll have to wait for that a pretty long time, unfortunately.

Well, if we have seen season 2, I'll review the characters again and some new characters. Maybe I'll look at them different then.
