Downton Abbey cast real life and on set

Here are most of the cast of Downton Abbey real life and on set. I must say I like them better in Downton Abbey. Here they are!

                                          Lady Sybil                      Jessica Brown-Findlay

                                          Anna Bates                    Joanne Froggatt

                                          Daisy Mason                   Sophie McShera

                                          Cora Crawley                  Elizabeth McGovern

                                          Edith Pelham                   Laura Carmichael

                                          Mary Talbot                    Michelle Dockery

                                          Rose Aldridge                 Lily James

                                          Ivy Stuart                        Cara Theobold

                                         Isobel Crawley                 Penelope Wilton

                                          Violet Crawley               Maggie Smith

                                          Elsie Carson                    Phyllis Logan

                                          Sarah O'Brien                 Siobhan Finneran

                                          Phyllis Baxter                Raquel Cassidy

                                          Matthew Crawley           Dan Stevens

                                         Tom Branson                   Allen Leech

                                         Joseph Molesley              Kevin Doyle

                                          John Bates                         Brendan Coyle

                                          Thomas Barrow             Rob James-Collier

                                          Alfred Nugent                 Matt Milne

                                          Charles Carson               Jim Carter

                                          Robert Crawley               Hugh Bonneville

                                         James Kent                      Ed Speleers

                                          Tony Gillingham             Anthony Foyle

There were a few characters I haven't put on, like the children and some servants, but this is most of the cast. Again, I like them better when they play in Downton Abbey. In real life they have far too much make-up on their faces, they are really different. Especially Miss Baxter, she was really scary. Her face totally white......

What's your opinion?

Emma (2009) - a short review

Best adaption of Emma ever!! We started to watch the 1996 version, but that one was so boring that we put it off. The mini-serie of Emma (2009) is great. The characters are well chosen and all play well.

Romola Garai is the perfect person to play Emma Woodhouse. She is just like I imagined Emma Woodhouse, a little bit daring, but she wants the best for everyone. Most of the time.

I don't like Johnny Lee Miller so much...maybe everyone thinks it's weird, but I just don't like him that much. In Emma he is okay, not great, but okay...Better than the other Mr. Knightley's in the other Emma's.

I don't like Harriet Smith at all! Maybe a little bit, but she has to many self-pity. She wines a little bit, and likes Mr. Elton. Who can believe that!?

...I do like those two. They're very mean, but Christina Cole and Blake Ritson play their role very well.

Miss Anne Taylor, later Anne Weston. The former governess of Emma. She is always very kind and nice, and a friend of Emma.

Also Michael Gambon plays the role of the concerned and caring Mr. Woodhouse very well.

I know it was a short post, I'm sorry.

I love old stuff. Or mysterious places, or vintage things, or roses! They're all so pretty. Old letters and foggy streets. Or a rainy day with lanterns shining. I can't explain why.

A beautiful underwater ladder, blossom in the snow, and a Chinese cup and plates.
These are so pretty. I would love to have myself a Chinese teaset. That would be great! Pour tea in one of those fragile cups...sorry, wondering off. Let's go on.

To be honest, I have no (and I really mean NO) stuff like that on my room. I wish I had. But I share my room with my younger sister, and I think it would break or something like that. Because than, every time I would hear glass breaking, I would think it was mine. So, not a very good idea........

Thanks for reading! Bye and until the next post!

The Musketeers BBC

It has been a long time since I wrote a post on Amongst Spring Blossoms. Well, I think it has been enough now, so I'll start with this post. Probably already know what it is going to be about.
Exactly! Why wouldn't I make a post about D'Artagnan, Aramis, Athos and Porthos, the musketeers of the king. This version is from BBC One. Here are some characters.

First of all, Constance Bonacieux, later Constance D'Artagnan. She is kind, brave and protects the queen at all times. Even if she had to die for it. Talking about that, I really thought she would die. I thought they would do it like the books, and let Constance die. I'm so happy she didn't die! She is actually a part of the musketeers. She protects the king (his wife then) and...I actually consider her as a musketeer. Because she is something like that, only then for the queen. A queen's musketeer ;-)
That was all about Constance.

Queen Anne has to go to a lot of trouble. She has to go from Spain to France, against her will. She has to marry a man she never saw once in her life, which means King Louis XIII. She is accused of high treason, trying to kill her husband, while she didn't do that. I feel really sorry for her sometimes, most of the time, almost all the time. At least she has her friend, Constance, and the musketeers who will always protect her. She is really kind and does not charish any grudge against the king. I will talk about the king now, Queen Anne needs to rest.

He's such a....a......whiner! I know he's the king(only in the musketeers), but he still is a whiner. And he has such a weird smile. Or grin, however you want to call it. I wanted to write a lot about why the king is a whiner, but then I would be...a little bit a whiner myself. And he trusts the wrong men. Rochefort and the cardinal are not the right persons to interfere with. And he blames the musketeers and Treville everything. They didn't protect the king, they didn't do their job, and he goes on and on and on. King Louis XIII is not my concern anymore. I'll go on to the musketeers.

Aramis, Porthos, Athos and D'Artagnan.
For all I care, they kiss to much. Except for Porthos. Then I like Porthos the most of the musketeers. Aramis less. Athos and D'Artagnan share the second place. O, just forget all that! They are all first, second, third and last. And that's just how it is. Nothing more! Treville is very fickle sometimes or unsure, you can call it that too. But eventually, he chooses the side of the queen and the musketeers. I'm glad about that.

Well, that was all for today! Maybe this was a little bit boring, but it is just something I wanted to write down. I'm still waiting for season three, just watched season two. Very annoying that it takes such a long time to get to the Netherlands, to be produced, put on the sites, in the libraries and the stores. Okay, that's really the end! Bye! Á la prochaine fois!
