It has been a long time since I wrote a post on Amongst Spring Blossoms. Well, I think it has been enough now, so I'll start with this post. Probably already know what it is going to be about.
Exactly! Why wouldn't I make a post about D'Artagnan, Aramis, Athos and Porthos, the musketeers of the king. This version is from BBC One. Here are some characters.
First of all, Constance Bonacieux, later Constance D'Artagnan. She is kind, brave and protects the queen at all times. Even if she had to die for it. Talking about that, I really thought she would die. I thought they would do it like the books, and let Constance die. I'm so happy she didn't die! She is actually a part of the musketeers. She protects the king (his wife then) and...I actually consider her as a musketeer. Because she is something like that, only then for the queen. A queen's musketeer ;-)
That was all about Constance.
Queen Anne has to go to a lot of trouble. She has to go from Spain to France, against her will. She has to marry a man she never saw once in her life, which means King Louis XIII. She is accused of high treason, trying to kill her husband, while she didn't do that. I feel really sorry for her sometimes, most of the time, almost all the time. At least she has her friend, Constance, and the musketeers who will always protect her. She is really kind and does not charish any grudge against the king. I will talk about the king now, Queen Anne needs to rest.
He's such a....a......whiner! I know he's the king(only in the musketeers), but he still is a whiner. And he has such a weird smile. Or grin, however you want to call it. I wanted to write a lot about why the king is a whiner, but then I would be...a little bit a whiner myself. And he trusts the wrong men. Rochefort and the cardinal are not the right persons to interfere with. And he blames the musketeers and Treville everything. They didn't protect the king, they didn't do their job, and he goes on and on and on. King Louis XIII is not my concern anymore. I'll go on to the musketeers.
Aramis, Porthos, Athos and D'Artagnan.
For all I care, they kiss to much. Except for Porthos. Then I like Porthos the most of the musketeers. Aramis less. Athos and D'Artagnan share the second place. O, just forget all that! They are all first, second, third and last. And that's just how it is. Nothing more! Treville is very fickle sometimes or unsure, you can call it that too. But eventually, he chooses the side of the queen and the musketeers. I'm glad about that.
Well, that was all for today! Maybe this was a little bit boring, but it is just something I wanted to write down. I'm still waiting for season three, just watched season two. Very annoying that it takes such a long time to get to the Netherlands, to be produced, put on the sites, in the libraries and the stores. Okay, that's really the end! Bye! Á la prochaine fois!
